Our Team

We met in June at the Green Impact Week, which had the goal of developing new ideas and solutions for current national and international challenges in climate and environmental protection.

Our idea was to develop an online platform through which you can reflect on your own ecological behavior and improve it in a playful way. In the last months we have developed this idea further and were able to realize it with “Mach doch mal”. Due to current circumstances, we have only been able to get to know each other as a team digitally. Nevertheless, we are united by our common interest in social engagement and green education and we all try to live and work more sustainably in our own way.

MY MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT:

  • Due to short-time work because of Corona, I have finally taken time to implement green “heart projects” in the household and with the family, to make my everyday life more sustainable and to help build machdochmal.
  • Since the Fridays for Future movement began, I have felt guilty for not doing enough about climate change for decades, even though I fought for very similar goals as a young person.

Where do I find sustainability difficult?

I cannot do without air travel because I work for an airline and my family comes from 3 continents.

MOTTO

For me, a sustainable life also includes the holistic aspect, body, mind & soul must be brought into harmony as well as man & nature.

Meine Motivation für das Projekt ist :

My motivation is the love for nature and species conservation, the desire to live more sustainably and to learn more about green education.

With machdochmal we have the opportunity to playfully test what is possible in everyday life to do something good for nature and also for ourselves. Through the common platform and the collected experiences, we can learn from each other and make a difference at the same time.

WHERE DO I FIND SUSTAINABILITY DIFFICULT?

So far, it has not been possible for me to permanently do without commuting by car.

I like to eat sweets, and as a consumer it is not easy (so far) to save on product packaging.

MY MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT:

Trying something new and sustainable in my life through various small activities, sharing with others who are interested and minimizing my own footprint.

WHERE DO I FIND SUSTAINABILITY DIFFICULT?

On the topic of travel and mobility – while the bicycle has become my good friend in everyday life, I find it hard to imagine doing without trips to faraway places.

MY MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT:

I am convinced that even small steps make a difference in terms of sustainability, as long as these steps are taken by several people. With the help of the challenges, we would like to motivate as many people as possible to participate in these small steps. In this way, we can do something good together for nature, the environment and ourselves in a simple, playful way that fits in with everyday life.

WHERE DO I FIND SUSTAINABILITY DIFFICULT?

At the moment, I see my personal sustainable challenge in the avoidance of packaging waste or other waste, in the reduction of air travel and a more sustainable diet.

My motivation is to preserve resources and to enjoy nature as a retreat for as long as possible.
With Mach Doch Mal we would like to give you inspiration on how you can easily and quickly integrate sustainability into your everyday life in various areas. As a source of inspiration, we want to motivate you and help you overcome your inner obstacle and try out something new.

WHERE DO I FIND SUSTAINABILITY DIFFICULT?

Sustainability is not about completely doing without; I still find it difficult to do without plastic completely. And even on my vacation, including air travel, I do not want to give up completely. Nevertheless, I try to act as sustainable as possible and am always happy about new inspirations and food for thought.
